I’m going to tell you the truth that most producer bios skip.
I picked up a guitar at 15 and never stopped chasing sound. At 19 (back in 2006) I had a remix channel pulling half a million YouTube plays until Sony BMG shut it down. (One Justin Timberlake remix is still live on a newer account with 3 million plays – the acapella was so rough the algorithm never caught it. I’ll take the win.)
At 28 I co-produced Shekhinah’s Different a #1 record in South Africa, RiSA Gold certified, a SAMA award, 14 million streams worldwide and exactly zero credit, because the paperwork and the situation with the 2nd producer weren’t handled well
So in 2020 I did something most producers don’t: I stepped away. Built a marketing agency. Spent three years not opening my DAW, learning the business from the outside in. Then in 2023 I walked into the BeatLeague Beat Battle in Berlin after 24 months of no music making – and took first place.
That’s when I understood what I actually am. Not one thing but many. I take the song, the sound design, the mix, the teaching, and the business behind all of it equally seriously. I care about how a Juno-60 sub layer sits under a vocal and about why some records feel inevitable while others don’t. I’ve built a 100K following out of sharing what I know, produced tracks that have moved millions of listeners, and spent years quietly learning the industry from every angle so I could protect my collaborators the way I wish someone had protected me.

Case Study
The chord progression and melody that became Different started as a guitar idea in my studio. Shekhinah and Mariechan turned it into a #1 record in South Africa. RiSA certified it Gold. The South African Music Awards added a SAMA. It’s been streamed over 14 million times worldwide.
And my name isn’t on it.
The paperwork wasn’t handled well, and a track I helped create went to market without my credit. I was 28. It took me years to process what that meant, and I came out the other side with a clearer view of how this industry actually works.
Different is still one of my proudest productions. The story behind it is why every project I take on now starts with paperwork before melodies – because talent without protection is a losing hand.
Genre & Sound
Twenty years of producing taught me one thing: the best records don’t belong to a single genre, they borrow from all of them. A pop hook over a techno sub. An R&B vocal sitting in a hip-hop pocket. A synth line that wouldn’t be out of place in a film score, dropped into a club track at 3am.
I move freely. Urban pop, melodic techno, R&B, hip-hop, deep house, alternative these aren’t separate skills for me. They’re tools in the same kit, and I’ve spent decades learning when to reach for which.
What twenty years also gives you is an ear. After that long, you stop guessing whether something works you can feel it. I can tell from a single synth patch whether it’ll move a listener or fall flat. I can hear thirty seconds of a rough demo and know if the song’s there or if it isn’t. That instinct doesn’t care about genre. It’s the same ear that picks a hit-worthy hook in pop as the one that picks a club-shaking pad in techno. Listeners feel it for the same reason I do we’re all wired to respond to sounds that hit something true.

While most producers drag and drop from sample packs, I build sounds from the ground up. 20 years of synth obsession, vintage gear, and relentless experimentation means I can create textures and tones that don’t exist anywhere else and they’ll be exclusively yours.

That’s what I do now. 1-on-1 sessions for producers who want to skip the years of trial-and-error. We focus on whatever’s actually holding your work back: a mix that won’t translate, a sound design problem, a track you can’t finish, a release strategy that isn’t moving the needle, or a marketing strategy to get more clients.
