Mellotape, Serum Soundbank
The sound of machines with a memory.
Most Serum banks sound like Serum: clean, digital, instantly recognizable.
Mellotape doesn’t. Every one of its 261 presets started as a real machine: an analog synth, a mellotron, a tape deck with decades of wear in it. Sampled at the source and rebuilt as wavetables you can actually play, the warmth, the flutter, the hiss carried inside the sound itself. Not an effect bolted on at the end.
For producers who want their tracks to feel lived-in. Lo-fi, ambient, cinematic, indie, hip-hop, anything that’s better with a little dust and dirt on it.
29 EUR
A working Mellotron costs more than a used car. Mellotape is 29 EUR, 261 presets, 278 wavetables, royalty-free, yours forever. Instant download.
Mellotape started with a simple obsession: capturing the character and feel we all know from old vintage synths and tape devices, and making it playable inside a modern synth.
Not a tape effect bolted onto digital oscillators. The real thing, sampled from the source, rebuilt into 261+ sounds you can drop straight into your tracks.
& many organic instruments: choir, strings, guitars, brass, woodwind sources and more
Every number here earns its place. This is what 261+ sounds actually gets you.
261+sounds
A complete vintage palette. Bass, Brass, Choir, Ethnic, Guitar, Hybrid, Key, Strings, Synth, and Woodwind. Enough range to score an entire track without ever leaving the pack.
278+wavetables
Every wavetable hand-built from real recordings. Not a tape EQ trick over a digital oscillator. The actual character of vintage machines, captured and rebuilt inside Serum, so even one oscillator already sounds analog.
69noise samples
The hiss, hum, and air that make a patch feel alive. Sampled from analog and digital vintage synths, these drop-in textures give your sounds that lived-in, perfectly imperfect quality tape gear is loved for.
4macros each
Analog character, modern workflow. Every sound comes with its macros assigned, so you load a preset, turn one knob, and shape it to your track. No deep sound design required.
